Effects of neurofeedback on the activities of motor-related areas by using motor execution and imagery

چکیده

Previous studies have reported that real-time functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) neurofeedback using motor imagery can modulate the activity of several motor-related areas. However, differences in these modulatory effects on distinct target regions same experimental protocol remain unelucidated. This study aimed to compare primary area (M1) and ventral premotor cortex (PMv). Of included participants, 15 received blood oxygenation level-dependent (BOLD) signals from their left M1, other PMv. Both groups were instructed try increase score (NF-Score), which reflected averaged activation level region, by executing or imagining a right-hand clenching movement. The result revealed during condition, M1 was deactivated PMv-group but not M1-group, whereas PMv activated M1-group. Our finding indicates has different brain regulation.

the effects of cooperative versus individual directed reading thinking activities on students inferential and referential questions

two groups of students were assigned as experimental and control ones, and were given instruction on directed reading-thinking activities and after some treatment, they were post-tested. although the initial pre-test did not show any significant differences, the final post-test result revealed that the cooperative reading comprehension helped the experimental group. the cooperative students’...

Evaluation of effective connectivity of motor areas during motor imagery and execution using conditional Granger causality

The effective connectivity networks among overlapped core regions recruited by motor execution (ME) and motor imagery (MI) were explored by means of conditional Granger causality and graph-theoretic method, based on functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data. Our results demonstrated more circuits of effective connectivity among the selected seed regions during right-hand performance tha...

Classification of EEG-based motor imagery BCI by using ECOC

AbstractAccuracy in identifying the subjects’ intentions for moving their different limbs from EEG signals is regarded as an important factor in the studies related to BCI. In fact, the complexity of motor-imagination and low amount of signal-to-noise ratio for EEG signal makes this identification as a difficult task. In order to overcome these complexities, many techniques such as variou...
